China's Yu Wenxia has been crowned the 2012 Miss World.
This is the second time Miss China has been awarded the title. The last time was in 2007 when Zhang Zilin took the honor.
The first runner-up is Sophie Elizabeth Moulds of Wales and the second runner-up is Jessica Michelle Kahawaty of Australia.
The 23-year-old Yu is a music student who says she wants to become a music teacher.
This is the first time for the Inner Mongolian city of Ordos to host the international beauty pageant.

Miss World 2012 will be the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant to be held on August 18, 2012 in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. To vie for the title, 117 contestants from all over the world will compete for the crown. Breaking the previous record of 115 contestants in 2010 edition and marking the biggest turnout in the pageant's history, Miss World 2011, Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event. The contestants will visit to Hong Kong, Sanya and Shanghai.
Vanya Mishra, crowned Miss India World 2012, will represent India at the global pageant.
This year, apart from the Miss World 2012 award, the challenge events includes Beach Beauty, Sports, Beauty With A Purpose, Multimedia Award, World Fashion Designer Award, Top Model and Top Talent.
Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos
Zee Cafe will showcase Miss World 2012 live, as a bevy of gorgeous women will battle it out at China. Zee Cafe will exclusively showcase Miss World 2012 live in India on 18th August at 5.00 pm.
